DISSOLUTION REFUSEI). Press Association-Bv Telegraph-Copvighl MELBOURNE, .June' 1. Lord Dudley, the Governor-General, refused to grant Mr Fisher a dissolution, and the Government resigns. MR DEAKIN SENT FOR. Received 8 p.m.. June Ist. MELBOURNE. June 1. Mr Alfred Deakin has been sent for to form a Ministry. MINISTERIAL STATEMENT. Received 1.10 a.m.. June 2nd. MELBOURNE.. June 1. . When the House met, Mr Fislier announced that liis request for a dissolution had been refused, and that Mr Deakin had been sent for. After a motion moved by Mr Fislier and seconded by Mr Deakin, regretting the death of the South Australian Premier, had been adopted, the House adjourned till to-morrow. Mr Deakin is engaged in forming a Ministry, and hopes to he able to announce the names of the new Minister when the House meets tomorrow-.
