HOCKEY.
Owing to a number of teams travelling on Juno 3rdj there will be no competition matches with the exception of Girls High School v. Avoca A, who, owing to the High School being closed, drew byes on 20th'May. This match will be" played on the Athletic Ground at 3.15; referee, Mr Smith. All players are requested to be on the ground punctually. The following players of the Timaru Ladies' Hockey Club will journey to Temuka to-morrow, to play a friendly game with the Rualxine Club : —Misses Bradlev, Hodges, A. Allan, J. Allan, 11. llodgers, M. Auld, M, Mason, D. McWhirter, N. Stewart, A. Howens, A. Rodgers, AY. Brooks, and E. Cooper. The drag will leave the Bank of New Zealand corner at 1.30 p.m. sharp.
