Mackenzie, Minister of lands, statiurr that he would be present it the complimentary social to Mr J. Craigie, M.P., which takes place at the; Drill Hall on Thursday evening. : Mr G. Smart rho has been employed in the railyav-office, W aimate, for some time, slid who has been transferred to Christchurch, was presented by the lockl railway staff and others with a gold sovereign case. The stationmaster (Mr : Croft), made _ the presentation in a short appreciative speech. :
