HARBOUR BOARDS.
REPRESENTATION OF FARMERS
Per Press Association,
AUCKLAND, May 27
The question of Harbour Board representation was brought up at the Farmers'" Union Conference to-day by Mr J. Flanagan, of Drury, who moved —"That the franchise for the election e)f members of Harbour Boards be so amended that the farmers shall have more direct representation." Mr Flanagan contended that the agricultural community was responsible for most of the exports and should have representation. The motion was carried.
