BOXING.
WHOLESALE SUMMONS . Per Press Association. GISBORNE, May "27. Something of a stir has been created ill Gisborne by the holding of a boxing exhibition 011 Tuesday night, for which a police permit had not been obtained. No charge was made for admission, but a towel ""was laid in tli£ centre of the riii". upon which spectators threw some coins. Immediately this took place the police seized the money and took the names of all who were present. As a sequel, about 7<> persons have to-day received summonses to attend the I'ol ice Court.
