It was a good run and quite compensated for the long unsuccessful draw. As some or the paddocks were very small, a good many fences had to be tackled in order to keep with the pack. Some of them were sufficiently stiff to empty more than one saddle. After drawing some turnips and three other paddocks blank a move was made for the homestead where Mrs and Miss Simmons had afternoon tea waiting which was very much appreciated. Before leaving the Master on behalf of members of the hunt thanked Mrs Simmons for her hospitality and alluded with pleasure to the sport of the afternoon, and on Compstall on previous occasions. Cheers for Mrs Simmons and her son were heartily given, and Mr Simmons in replv expressed a hope that even better sport might nexf year be obtained on Compstall.
