In connection with .the sugar scandals at Tokio, many arrests have been made. The Sugar Company spent 120,000 yen in bribing fifty deputies to secure its nationalisation. It is improbable that the constitutional party which controls the majority of the Diet will rally from the blow.
The public applaud the Government's energy, and Relieve that the exposure will have a salutary effect in commercial circles.
