The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following intimation from their London office, dated 30th April: "Since last sales short and shorn sheepskins have declined Id per lb, combing merino have advanced §d, fine crossbred Id, coarse crossbred id, medium crossbred Jd, and crossbred lambs id." Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under date London, April 29tli: —"'The tallow market is very quiet and prices m general are lower by 3d per cwt. Our wool sales will be held on stli, 12th anil 20tli May. There is less demand for frozen lamb and any chance in prices is in favour of buyers. The mutton market is weak, and any change in prices of light weights are in favour of buyers, whilst prices of weights aTO lower by id to id per lb. We exnect a decline in prices of all descriptions of frozen mutton. The beef market is weak'but without quotable cliam?o. There is a eood demand for combing slieenskins. Prions of Australian are }d to id. per lb h»tlier and Ne\v Zealand 3d to Id per lb higher. Shortwool"d and shorn pelts are par to Jd lower. 1 '
