The Judge, in 'summing up Mann's case, said that Mann's, speeches were materially against him, for they showed that lib was at all times prepared to offer resistance to the police. 'The jury, after five hours' deliberation, returned a verdict of not guilty. Shortly after acquittal Tom Mann .addressed the crowd. He said lie would not have whimpered if lie had got five years for the job. Thev were 'once more released from man's oppression, and by the God that made them they would let the capitalist crowd know it in the future.
