THE CHAMPIONSHIP. P«r Press Associn^on GORE, April 9. The draughts championship, opened to-day, the president (Mr P. C. Gray) and eighteen competitors being present. The results vp to 5 o'clock were —Brodio 1 point, Heuiiker 1, Gardiner, Boswell, Hutton 1, Duncan and Bullion IJ, Murdoch i, Scott and Morris 1, Campbell, Gillies and Davis IJ, Rea i, Gough, McPhee and Boreham £, Matheson £. The results of the cnnmpionsinp at the close of to-day's play were: — Brodie 4i points, Hilliker 3, Campbell 3, Davis 2, Boreham I}, Hutton IJ, Morris 2, Duncan I}, Cullen 11, Rea li, Scott I.V, Gardiner 1, Murdock 1, Boswell Gillies li, Matheson I*.
