O'Shca, on a charge of wife desertion, was ordered to pay IDs per week towards his wife's support, and find securities for compliance. • Sydney Butcher, for driving a motor car at an excessive rate of speed, was fined £5, and for driving without lights £l, and 7s costs in each case. CIVIL CASES. Judgment by default was given in the following cases: —Blair Bros. v. William Sole, £7 10s Sd, costs £1 15s 6d; Meredith and Co. (Mr Perry.) v. P. Sullivan, 7s 6d, costs lis; same v. James Wiggins, £5 3s 6a, costs £1 3s 6d; same v. Jos. Wiggins, £1 Bs, cost ss; • Priest and Hoidgate v. Alt' Pelvin, £1 9s, costs os; T. Kichard v. E. Hyland, £4 6s 9d, costs os; AV. F. George v. y. Evans, £1 6s 9d, costs ss; Waimate County Council (Mr Moore) v. J. Ycsberg, jun., £1 4s Id, costs 6s. Meredith and Co. (Mr I'crrv) v. C. E. J. Williams (Mr Moore), claim £4 12s 3d. After hearing evidence, and with the consent of defendant's solicitor, judgment went for plaintiff for £1 12s ,<sd, costs £2 Is. Judgment summonses C.F.C.A., Ltd.. (Mr Moore) v. Joseph Joyce, £22 los; Mary Hunt v. Arthur Dobbs, £9 16s. Orders were refused in both cases. In the case of appeal Guinness and LeCVfn v. G.
