Customs duties 437 2 9 •Beer duty 41 2 9 Other receipts 13 11 5 Total ....£49116 11 fIORSE SALES. -• The Canterbury Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association; report on the horse market at Tattersall's yards on Saturday]; as follows: —The entry was not, quite as large as usual, owing, no "doubt, to harvest operations being in . full swing. For good young draughts there was a very fair demand, sales being effected at £33, £36, £37 10s, £4O, £4l 10s to £42; light harness horses (good sorts)\sold at up to £l9, and ponies changed hands at £lO, £ls to £lB. For hacks and any weedy* kinds of horses there was. little or no demand. -
