TENNIS.
A FRIENDLY MATCH. On Thursday afternoon a team ol Timaru tennis players drove out to Pleasant Point, and gave the local club their lirst outside match this season. Afternoon tea was provided by lady friends of the club, and the visitors were given a most enjoyable time. The following were the scores (Point players named first) : —Singles—Lambert 0 v. Friedlander 5, Halstead 5 v. Hindley 6, Dr. Paterson 5 v. Seymour 6, J. Cameron 4 v. Bridges 6, Thomas 6 v. King 1. Doubles —Lambert and Halstead 9 v. Friedlander and Hindley 5, Patersoh and Cameron 8 v. Bridges and Seymour 9, Thomas and Tait 0 v. King and Seymour 3. Totals—Point 49, Timaru 41.
