The report upon the investigation of tho cases ■of alleged under-valuing of :goods by manufacturers: and importers finds -that several cases of undervaluing were proved,: In some instances permission to - inspect books was refused. Inquiries led to the opinion that undervaluing was more prevalent in regard to importations from the Continent Jthan.from the United Kingdom. The report recommends the Commonwealth to. be represented at, ports of origin in England, 'France, and Germany. A GOOD SUGGESTION.
