Mr Watson, ex-Premier of the Commonwealth, on being ' interviewed at' Durban, warned the National Convention against following Australia's example in allowing sovereignty to large States. He thought the central Parinput should have much greater control. Australia would be better if it had a. far more centralised constitution. He attributed little weight to the objections that this might cause neglect of local demands. LONDON, Jan. 23. The "Times'" Capetown correspondent adds that this advice was not entirely palatable to Natal, but wholly in accordance with the views of the majority of delegates at the Convention.
