"WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. The weather was fine and the attendance large. The track was in excellent order for the second day's races. The results were as follows: — MANGAROA "WELTER—Osiris lOst 2lb 1, Aberbrothock Bst 121b 2, Tauira bst lib 3. All' started. Osiris took charge in the straight and won comfortably by a length. JAN OARY WELTER—Vasa 9sfc 71b 1, Borrasque 9st 11 2, Valiimar Bst 101b 3. All started. Won easily by four lengths. STAKES Theodore 7st 51b 1, Broadsword 7st 12 2, Merriwa 7st 31b 3. Also started—Armlet, Gipsy Belle, Sharpshooter, Expansion, Bally Shannon, Zylophone, and Sea Queen. Theodore led all the way and won easily by two lengths. RACING CLUB HANDlCAP—Muskerry 7st 101b 1, Truganui Bst 41b 2, Gold Crest Bst 131b 3. Also started— All Red, Apa, Tangimoana, Blue Ribbon, GlencuEoch, Moloch, and Ikon. Mnskerry practically led all the way and .won very easily by three lengths. FITZHERBERT HANDICAP—Lady .Medallist 7st 1, Cymbifonn Bst 2, Milan 6st 131b 3. Scratched—Boutade A good race j won bv a length and a half.

DOTJRO CUP—Consolation 7st 61b 1, Merrivonia Bst 71b 2, Seaton Dale Bst 81b 3. Scratched—Royal Guard. Merrivonia led to' the -'distance where the went to the front and won by half a length. North Pole and Llanwern fell.

DISPOSAL STAKES—SpIash Bst 1, Sweet Lethe Bst lib 2, Playmate Bst lib 3. Scratched—De Witte, Xavier, and Faux Pas. Splash took charge in the straight and won comfortably by a length.

METROPOLITAN HANDICAP Tumnt Bst 91b 1, Flitaway 7st 81b 2, Rangipapa 9st lib 3. • Also started — Ballarat, Taitoko, Mon Ami, Moriarty, li-anni, All Guns, and TVbodhey. Tumnt took charge at the entrance to the straight and won very easily by three lentcths. "
