VOLCANIC ERUPTION. MANILA, Jan. 20. The volcano at Lagnas, in the island of Luzon, the largest of the Phillippine Islands, is in violent eruption. Grerit damage was caused by the torrent of lava.

LONDON, Jan. 21. 'Bishop ■ Kennion prosecuted Mr jimyth Pigott, leader of the Agapemonesj in the Wells Consistory Court, and asked for-his expulsion from the Church of Eugland on the ground of immorality and a sinful life. The Chancellor declared the charges proved.
