QUESTION OF ALLOWANCES. Press Association-By Telegraph-Copyrgut Received 9.55 p.m., Jan. 19th. * . LONDON, Jan. 19. The emergency .sub-committee of the English Rugby Union lias.informed the s*:ottish Union that the matter of allowances must' be referred to the full committee; meanwhile the committee intimates that 3s will be allowed for daily and petty expenses,which are not incurred if at home. These allowances are in nowise a source of profit ;■they merely save the manager ; the trouble of paying for daily small and legitimate items. Tlie arbitrary cancellation of an international-'' fixture and the/accusations of professionalism are questions for the International Board, which will be summoned as soon as practicable.
