THE CHANCELLOR CRITICISED:
LORD CROMER'S ADDRESS. ;, Press Association-By .•Telegrapti-Copyrijjnt Received ll.lfi: p.m., Jan. T l9th. LONDON, Jan. 19; Lord Cromer, in an ' address .at Leeds, declared that Mr Lloyd-George's utterances had rudely shaken the confidence of the investing classes. Money was not now invested in British industries, and a Budget did not inspire confidence when it undertakes large liabilities without knowing how they are going to be met. If Mr LloydGeorge, followed the advice of his more extreme followers, the days of the Government would he numbered. Anther very heavy blow would be inflicted on the cause of freetrade.
