SANATORIUM AT FAIRLIE.

MR GJLLINGHAM'S OPINION. Mr F. R. Gillingham reported to the Mackenzie County Council yesterday thai. the members of the Hospital Board the day before paid a visit to Fairlie, 'for the purpose of .inspecting the 76 acres of land on Strathconan, bought by Mr L'raigie as .suitable for a consumptive sanatorium. All members seemed to think the land was very suitable for (he purpose. The altitude, 1000 ft, was right, the aspect s-unny, drainage convenient, the railway facilities excellent, and a short telephone line would connect the medical man at Fairlie. The Board considered that nothing better could be provided. Seeing that the time would come when the Board must provide an institution of the kind, the Board thought they could not- go far wrong in securing this site, as suitable a one. as was likely to lie found available, and they passed a resolution to take over Mr Craigie's purchase.
