LONDON', Sept. 25. _ The Newcastle election resulted as follows :

Mr Renwick (Unionist) ... 13,863 Mr Short. (Radical) 11,720 Mr Hartley (Socialist) ..... 2,971 VICTORY AND DEFEAT. Received .4.15 p.m., Sept. 27th. LONDON, Sept. 26. Mr Renwick attributes his victory to the belief that tariff reform will do much eo relieve unemployment.
