HOCKEY.
The Timaru Hockey Club and a team representing Nga'- Hh« Club (Christchurch) played a match on the Athletic Grounds yesterday afternoon. The game was an uneven one, the home players having all the advantage, and resulted in a win for them by two goals to nil, Misses A. Hales and G. McWhirter being the scorers. The following will represent Rawhiti in their match with Xga Hine on the Athletic Grounds to-day:—D. and F. l'ringle,. V. and M. Bowk-, K. and K. Beckingham, K. Frnser, G. Wood, V. and 1. Caldwell, arid F. Verity. Play will commence at 2.30 p.m. In view of the representative game with North Canterbury, the following have b *en picked to play a trial game on Mon day at 5 p.m. on a ground to be notified. Any unable to play should notify the >ec retary of the South Canterbury Association not later than to-night.
