A RECTORS JUBILEE.
FATHER KEOGHS CELEBRATIONS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 25. Tlie Very Rev. Father Keogh, Rector of Sit. Patrick's College,' celebrated a double event to-day—the fiftieth, anniver-i-ary of Lis birth and the silver jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood. He was dinner in the afternoon at tiie college, i There was a large and representative gathering, including Sir Joseph Ward, the Minister of Education, the Mayor of Wellington, Archbishop Redwood and many other prominent people. At a public gathering in the Town Hall til is evening Father Keogh was presented with a purse containing 320 eovs. He said he would devote the money to the erection of a laboratory afc St. Patrick's College to assist in scientific teaching.
