, LONDON, July 22. At. tiie wool sales there is a very good demand, and prices are unchanged. The sales include the' Gear clip at 8d and the Ngatapa at BJd. , The American visible supply of wheat is 19,102,000 bushels. Two Australian cargoes sold at 37s and 38s respectively.
The balance-sheet of the Union Bank of Australia shows lihat the deposits amount to £1„966,000, cash investments and remittances in transit, to £9,924,000, bills and securities to £14,820,000. At the fallow sales 606 casks were offered and 482 sold ; fine mutton, 34s 3d per ewt. : medium, 31s 6d ; beef fine, 33s 3d ; medium, 31s.
; Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under date London, July 22nd:—" Since our last telegram prices of prime mutton tallow' are unchanged ; other descriptions are at par to 6d higher. The advance is chiefly on low qualities. The programme oPthe wool sales will be shortened by sis days; the last sale will take place on Ist August'."
