HUNTING.
MEET AT KINGSDOWN SCHOOL. Yesterday sport with- the hounds was the very reverse of the splendid day with them last Monday, which was a pity, as the country hunted was ideal hunting country. .Scent was bad all day, consequently nothing worthy of the name of a •' run " was recorded. „ Tho first hare found on Mr Davidson's land gave the best sport; after crossing the road on to Mr Rlack's property she circled right-handed »ver Mr Fenwiuk's gully and back again across the road on to Mr Campbell's farm, eventually to be lost in a paddock of Mr Anstey's after an uninterrupted spin over a couple of miles. Several short runs followed, over much the same country, but in every case the hare was veiy soon lost. Mr JJee'ti farm was tried late, in the afternoon and a hare found in a paddock at the back of the homestead was very so/>n lost again on Mr Dinnicombe's farm. _As scent by this time seemed to have vanished altogether, the Master gave the order for home.
