MURDER CHARGE.
AFFAIR AT WESTPORT

WESTPORT, May 14.
*fwo sailors belonging to the steamer Canopus, Olaf Haliman (a Finn), and Andrew Anderson (a Norwegian), were arrested on a charge of the murder of Ernest John Bqurke, who was found on the night of May Bth in a dying condition with his jaw fractured, and other injuries about his head. Haliman and Anderson were liberated yesterday after serving three- days' imprisonment for being absent from the Canopus without leave. Haliman was also fined for having uncustomed tobacco in his possession. Accused were today . remanded on the murder charge.
