The Premier, who was in Napier for a few hours to-day, received ;i deputation who urged that a sum should be placed on the Estimates, for the completion of a survey and selection of a route for a railway froni Napier and Gisborne, ami that the question of constructing the line should leceivo consideration when new works were being decided upon. The Premier promised eat'Jy consideration of the first request, but said that the question of new railways would have to be carefully considered, and all parts of the Dominion would be fairiv dealt with.
