The markets are. dull and inactive owing to : excessive Argentine ' shipments, •weak American quotations and the absence of 'Continental demand. No improvement is likely till the quantity on pas-sage is appreciably diminished. Car'goes are quiet but fairly firm., An Australian steamer cargo sold at 36i> ljid. Holders are asking 37e for March-April shipments and a ishilling less for steamer parcels. There k better demand for Australian wheat on spot at 37s 6d to 38,5.
Flour.—The market is depressed. Australian is quiet at 375.
