(ALLEGED REGICIDAL PLOT. A RUSSIAN TRIAL. Press Association-By Telegraph-Copyright Received 10.14 p.m., December 6th. NT. PETERSBUIIG-, Dec. 6. The trial of 37 social democratic members of the second Duma, 17 soldiers and civilians for complicity in an alleged military regicidal plot has begun here. A public 'hearing was refused, thereupon the accused asked to be sent buck to prison. Counsel, were instructed to withdraw the prosecution; then the trial proceeded in their .absence. The party has issued a. statement, that the accusation is baseless and 'i)s • a pretextv to; justify an alteration of tllie decora! law. One' hundred thousand workmen and students at St. Petersburg and Moscow 'have struck in sympathy with the accused.
