The Belgian delegates report that tlie priv-ate capital invested in the Congo State is £6,800',000: .that the general trades is of the. value of £4,500,000; that the -colony's assets are £4,800,000, and liabilities £4,500,000.
Thel Belgian authorities after annexation will control the Crown domain and may make a fresh assignment of revenue "subject to the erection of churches, and schools. The property in this domain, ti:s valued' at £l,'C-00,000, which will be placed at -thei disposal of the colony, also the option of purchasing the domain's ' forests.
