IMPORTED FRUIT.

WELLINGTON, Dec. 5, A shipment of apricots from Paramatta., Rye and. other places near Sydney which arrived by yesterday's steamer, proved to be affected by the Queensland fly. The great majority of the fruit was free frcm the parasite) but on account of the contiguity the number of cases destroyed totalled 300 and only fifty, got through These were sold this morning .'at'-.satis-factory, prices but? the loss on . the condemned fruit will total about £250. The plums by the same boat were, free from parasite, but the shipment was small. It realised good prices at auction.
