Subject to anf necessary alterations mails will close daily as under: — For Wellington and northern ports, 12.50 p.m. For Christchurch, 6 a.m., 12.50 p.m., and 6 p.m. For Oamaru and Waimate, 6 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3 p.m For Dunedin, 11 a.m., and 3 p.m. Fer Temuka and Geraldine, 6 a.m., 12.50 p.m., tuid 6 p.m. The money order and savings bank branch at the Chief Post Office, Timaru, now closes at 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and re-opens for savings bank deposits from 7 to 8.30 p.m. Parcels for United Kingdom may now be insured up to £4OO. Saturday, November 9th. For Australian States and South Africa via Bluff, at 3 p.m. KING'S BIRTHDAY. Monday, 11th November, will be observed as a Post Office Holiday. ' Alt mails for despatch on that day" will b.» cksed at 6.30 a.m. A delivery- of correspondenuce will be given over the counter on Saturday,'9th November, from 7 to 8 p.m. The Telegraph Office will bs open from 9a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight.
