Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. September 19. Mr G. W. 15 inner, a veil-known Auckland merchant, died to-day. Some weeks ago while on a voyage from Sydney to Auckland he fell down the companion way of the steamer, and sustained serious injury.
WELLINGTON, September 19. Ramsay Harris, about 25 years old, 5 feet 2 inches high, a fair, thick-set, clean shaven man, who recently arrived from Home has been missing from a private hotel in Wellington since the sth inst. H it-account, is paid up, and as his belongings are at the hotel it- is feared that some calamity has befallen him. '
GREYMOUTH. September 19. The condition of the young man Hales, who was injured in the C'obden explosion, is considered to be satisfactory.
A young man named George Kennington, eon of Mr Robert Kennington, of Gerald inc. who is employed by Mr T. Buckley, nrct with an accident near Win-' chester on llrVednesday. He was driving in a, dray containing coal, and sitting in front of it. When coming down the incline at Winchester bridge part of the harness gave way, and a large lump of coal rolled forward and struck him. and he fell to the ground, the wheel parsing over him and causing a compound fracture of the right thigh.
