GOLF.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. Per Press Association. NAPIER, September 16. The New Zealand-Golf Club's championship meeting was concluded to-day when ths final round of the amateur championship of New Zealand was played bjtwecn A. Duncan and H. B. Lusk. The latter was in good form, but he was no match for Duncan whose driving and approaching were good, while his putting was splendid. Duncan won with 10 up, and 9to play. This makes the fifth occasion on which Duncan has won ..this championship having secured it- previously in 1899, 1900, 1901, and 1905. As at the present meeting he. alto won the- open championship of New Zealand, the amateur championship of Hawke's Bay, and the amateur bogey handicap, he may be said to have put up a. golf record for the. colony. F. Kelly, Auckland, won the putting competition with a score of 19.
