DOMINION DAY.

PROGRAMME FOR WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 16. The official programme for Dominion Day is that the Governor arrives in the .afternoon at Newtown Park and will inspect the troops, after which His Excellency, the Premier and the Mayor will deliver speeches. The formal declaration of New Zealand as a Dominion will follow. The Dominion flag will be hoisted and a royal salute fired. The troops will then form for presentation of tlie King's colours. The flag will be consecrated by the Bishop of Wellington, and the King's colours will bs presented to the units entitled ito receive them, and will be saluted in the customary manner. The colours will then be trooped, and a march past will follow. It is Loped to have a rbtiord attendance of /the military.

Sir, —I see by to-day's " Herald" that on Dominion Day, all public offices will be closed all day. and every person is to have a holiday except the poor children and their t&ichers, who are to have the afternoon off only.
