The Kaitnna, completed discharging h-er Timarn cargo- of timber late on Thursday night, and sailed for Lyttelron about midnight. The s.s. Te Anau arrived from Oamaru yesterday morning. She fancied general cargo, and took in prodnce for northern ports, sailing for Lyttelton in the evening'. The owners* of coastal vessels sailing out of Auckland are arranging a general advance in freights, ■which they attribute to the increasing expense caused by the pressure of the shipping la-res.
