TEMUKA LIVE STOCK MARKET.

At this market yesterday there was a large yarding in all classes —14,000 sheep, 167 cattle, and 281 pigs. Owing to the block in the freezing works export buyera were not i operating, and the lacK of their competition caused a slight decline in prices of best lambs and prime wethers. The following are quotations:—Fat lambs, 15s 6d, 16s 9d. 17s 3d, 17s 6d, 17s 9d ; fat wctJiers, 18s Bd, 19s Id, 19s 6d, 2Cg, 225; store lambs, 12s 6d, 15s, 13s 6d; store wethers, 12-5 9d, 13s, 14s 6d, 16s; 3-bred ewes, full and failing, in lamb r 12s 6d to 13s; old ewes, 6s 6d, 7s 6d, Bs. ■Cattle—Fat bullocks, £6 15s, £7, £7 ss, £7 10s; fat heifers, £5 10s, £6 15s r £7; 3-vear-old store bullocks, £5 12s 6d to £6; store cow?. £3 10s to £4; 2-year-old steers and heifers, £2 to £2 15s; yearling do., 223 6d to 27s 6d; cows, springing and in profit, £5 10s, £5 15s to £7 2s 6d. Pigs—Baconers, £3 10s, £3 12s 6d. £3 15?; porkers, 2Cs, 235, 32s 6d; slips, 15?, 16a 6d, 17s 6d; strong stores, 12s 6d, 13s: weaners, 7s 6d to 3s.
