FACTORIES STORMED BY WOMEN. ROME, May 23. A mob of infuriated women stormed the factories at Termi, in Italy, in order to expel those displacing their husbands who are on strike. The troops charged the women. THE COBAR STRIKE. SYDNEY, May 24. A conference lias been practically arranged between the mine-owners and the strikers: at Cobar, the strikers undertaking to provide men to keep the mines drv in the meantime.
THE REFUSAL TO PAY FINES. P-er Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. May 24. Fourteen of tlje Pareora slaughtermen who were fined in connection with the recent strike having disregarded the judgment of the Court and refused to pay the fines, Mr Strinser, Crown Prosecutor, has filed motions to the Supreme Coutr for the Attachment of the defaulters. Mr Justice Chapman lias provisionally arranged to hear the motions on June 4th at Tixnarn after the criminal sessions.
