AUCKLAND, May 18. The Takapumt Jockey Club's wintermeeting was opened to-day. There was a large: attendance. The sum of £10,016 10s was put through the machine against £6373 10s on the opening day of lastwinter meeting. The winning double, Millie and Duart, paid £797 17s.
