CANTERBURY MEDAL COMES TO
TIMARU.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 19
The annual volunteer shooting competition for the South Island and the Canterbury district medals -which was commenced at Timaru on Thursday was continued at RedclilTs on Saturday, but a strong souwester ■that prevailed caused the attendance to be small and the shooting was much below the average. The best scores were:—Sergeant Jack, 38; Private White, 37; Sergeant Williamson, 33; Bugler Waddington, 31; Sergeant Murphy, 30; Private Earle, 30.
Sergeant. Waugh (Timaru), who made 50 points on Thursday therefore wins the medal for the Canterbury district.
