Vinevar, a member of. the Duma, is informed that massacres of the Jews are being prepared for at Zhitomer, in South-western-Russia, and at Saratoff. MEETING QUIETLY QUELLED. This caused an immense sensation at St. Petersburg, and is regarded as confirming, the reports of disaffection arising of the rumoured approaching dissolution of the Duma. The first battalion has now been ordered to a remote locality in the Novgorod district. The resolutions passed by the regiment included the condemnation of corporal punishment, and a demand for release from the opening of private letters. The Sempovisky regiment, formded bv Peter the Great, is equally disaffected, and repeatedly testifies its sympathy with the peasants. , _
