Subject to any necessary alterations, mails will close daily as under:— For Christchureh, 6 a.m., 12.50 p.m., and 6 p.m. For Wellington and ; northern ports, 12.50 p.m., and 6 p.m. Saturdays. The public is reminded that letters for the United, States must- bear 2£d per £oz. Mails for Chatham Islands per s.s. Toroa close at Lyttelton at 8 p.m., "Wednesday 21st February. Mails for Fiji close at Auckland on Monday 26th. inst. The next best despatch for the United Kingdom is via San Francisco, leaving Timaru on Tuesday, February. 27th. Due in London. 31st March. Friday, February 23rd.. - For Australian States, South Africa, India, and China, yia Wellington, at 12.50 , p.m. Saturday, February. 24th. -.
