GERALDINE ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Gera'dine Road Board was held on Tuesday. Present:—Messrs J. M. Barker (in the chair) J. Wharton, and K. Brophy. Mr J. The clerk and overseer Mount Peel Road Board sent information with regard to making stock bridges wide enough°for Light traffic.—Received with thanks. C : Dr Warren reported a case of diphtheria, at Orari, near Winchester. The overseer reported on work dona during the month, and it was decided to call tender.- for forming a portion of roa.d. at-Four-Peaks as applied for by the manager and to shingle this and a portion alrsaa-.' done, also to call tenders at the; same time. for shingle on Wooding's road. ; It was resolved to do shingling on Walker's hoai»stead road, and to spend a little monev or.- «• road at Kakahu near Dr Hayes' property as applied for by him. The overseer was instructed to have drain cleaned out between Flatman's and Brien's, and to obtain two spans of old bridging from Toomey'a for the creek crossing on the coach roi>d. The receipts since last meeting were £1751 6s 6d. and the credit balance at kj-r-z £1429 15s 7d.
