CALEDONIAN GAMES.
. THE MEETING AT OAMARU. Per Press Association. . OAMARU, January 2. The Caledonian Games were continued to-day in a series of thundershowers, which affected the attendance, but the Society will come out. with a prifit. Morris won the 440 yards handicap, McTigue the 75 yards, McTigue the Oamaru handicap, Wild the half mile, and Prentice the mile. In the amateur events, O'Kane won the 440 yards handicap, McCorkindale'tbe 200 yards, O'Kane the half mile. M. Geaney won the Cumberland wrestling. J. Cameron was most successful in feats of strength, and Breen in throwing the hammer. Horgan won the hop, step and jump, and the vaulting. THE MEETING AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, January 2. The Caledonian Sports were well attended, the takings for the two days' showing an advance of £59 on last yoar. The weather turned cold and disagreeable in the afternoon. Wrestling {Border Style)—W.
