The final of the 'rinks was the most. > exciting match. - Up to the sixteenth tead i both teams had led alternately and play was full of interest- Taylor's players supported him poorly, while Prince, whose rick won the championship last year, had no such trouble. Taylor played a bril-liant-.game, bnt could not-win for want of better combination. - Prince had much the best of the game in the concluding stages, winning fairly easily. The donbles proved a victory for the Kaitnna pair, the veteran (Sneddon) showing bis most characteristic form, and Saunders leading exceptionally well for him. Bentley appeared unable'to get the hang of the green aDd was never in the hunt. Harraway, a very young player, had not the slightest difficulty in defeating Neill. _ The. came was an unattractive one. Neill failing to.force his opponent at all, and the latter simply drew persistently. •
