Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 20. At a meeting of the Agricultural Association, the question of the non-representa-tion of the country interest on the Harbour Board was considered. Mr Massey piomised to bring the matter before Parliament with a view to alteration in the law. A motion was carried, protesting against the action of the Government in removing the only country member from the Auckland Harbour Board. PALMERSTON NORTH, Feb. 20. At a meeting last eveniug of the committee of the District High School, it was decided to promote a Bill with the object of changing the status of the school to a high school proper. Mr Wood, M.H.R.. Mr F. Pirani, and Mr W. Rutherford were appointed to draft the Bill. WELLINGTON. February 20. At a public meeting to-day. called by the 1 Mayor at the request of Mr Seddon, it was decided to form a branch of the New Zealand Soldiers' Graves Guild. GREYMOUTH, February 20. The Dobson bote hole is now down 1804 feet, in dark sandstone and fireclay. Oil still continues to ooze out of the hole. The Government geologist is of opinion that "farewell rock" (>l;ite> has not ye: been struck, but holds that the great depth is serious. Work at the State coal mine, where 70 met. are employed, is proceeding apace. The Government intend to put on a number of extra men shortly. The deviation being made from the present partiallyfonned Une will Teqnire heavy earthworks. So far the Harbour Board have not got authority from the Government to proceed with the construction of the breakwater, and in consequence the whole of the men in the Board's employ have been dismissed.
