LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Levels County Council was held on Saturday morning There were present Messrs C. N Orbeli (chairman), D. McLaren, W. Cunningham A. C. Pringle, G. Butler, J. Mahoney, and -R. Calvert's tender for metal at £235 8s 4d was accepted, *while his tender for shingle was £221 ss. Other tenders were—A. Vincent, metal. £258 6s 8d: H. Ellis, shingle, £177 10s ; P. Rooney, shingle, £IBB 2s 6d. Three tenders were received for No. 38, erection of a bridge at Briggs' Gully, and that of A. Vincent at £l4l 6s, in masonry, was accepted. Other tenders were—James Philip, £lll, and W. Tubb, £156, each in hardwood timber. ! Accounts amounting to £136 17s lOd were passed for payment, and the meeting then closed.
