WANGANUI, February 23. Messrs Cavill,- Read and Lane, the New South Wales swimmers, who are to compete at the Australasian championship swimming meeting, to be held here this week, will arrive on Monday afternoon. They will be publicly welcomed.
WELLINGTON, February 23. The Australian champion swimmers gave an exhibition at the swimming sports yesterday. They also competed in the Invitation Race, in which M. Champion, of Wellington, also swam. The result was a dead heat between Lane, Cavill and M- Champion, the 100 yds being covered in 62 4-ssec. Champion won the interclub 100 yds race.
