At a meeting of sheep fanners to-day [ it was stated that nearly sufficient shares , had been taken up to start the Gisborne Freezing Company's works on the co-opera-tive basis. A fortnight's adjournment was made, it being considered that the bst should be completed in the meantime. CHRISTCHURCH, February 8 The Premier has received through the Governor his official invitation to the Coronation ceremony. It states that-tiis Majesty desires the Premier to be in London a few days before the date fixed for the ceremony, and that from his arrival he is to consider himself a guest of His Majesty. The King will be further pleased if the Premier is accompanied by a lady member of his family. .. Sir J. G. Ward retumed..to Wellington by the Rotomahana last night. The Premier meets a deputation here tomorrow, and leaves for the West Coast on Tuesday. . , The Hon. W. C. Walker remains here for a few days. The Governor remains in town for a day or two. To-morrow he goes to Southbridge in Adams' motor car, Tuesday or Wednesday he visits Cheviot, where the earthquakes still continue.
