The Chinese Government has explained that the firing upoii the Nanning was accidental, and was done while soldiers were arresting robbers. The dead bodies were produced and the explanation accepted. Mr Pierpont Morgan has induced 30 of the chief English and American Atlantic steamship liners to join a pool, with the object,of settling passenger freights and rates.
